New ways to get involved with the BCWWA

With our fall events right around the corner and the 2019 Annual Conference & Trade Show planning kicking off in the coming months, we have some exciting new ways to help shape BCWWA’s professional development programs.

  • New Water/Wastewater Sector Professionals Programming – BCWWA is exploring knowledge gaps for professionals (engineers, planners, sales, etc. ) who enter the sector with professional skills but without sector knowledge. We are currently seeking individuals who would like to participate in the working group to build out this area of BCWWA programming.
  • Operator Continuing Education (CEU) Day, November 27, 2018 – In December of 2017 we debuted the very successful Operator CEU Day, an event created specifically for operators that features programming in four main specialties, along with opportunities for sharing tips and tricks as well as networking. We are seeking individuals who would like to participate in the planning group for this year’s event.
  • Seismic Events Workshop – BCWWA is exploring the needs of the water sector with regards to seismic event readiness. We invite you to provide your feedback with this survey.
  • BCWWA Annual Conference, Victoria, May 26-28, 2019 – We are currently building our Annual Conference Planning Committee and are seeking individuals who are interested in participating in the creation of another fantastic event.

If you or anyone in your network is interested in any of these opportunities, or if you have questions about the scope and time commitment, please contact Marian Hands at mhands@bcwwa.org or 604 630-0093.
